Before you convert
Animations, transitions, and embedded media are dropped; the PDF keeps only static slide content.
Share slides as a fixed PDF handout
PowerPoint to PDF converts PPT or PPTX slides into a static document — one slide per page — that anyone can open without presentation software.
Everything dynamic is left behind: animations, transitions, video, and audio do not translate to PDF. The output keeps the visual state of each slide as designed.
Useful situations
- Email slides to someone who does not have PowerPoint.
- Print a handout version of a presentation.
- Archive a talk in a format that will not depend on office suites.
How to use PowerPoint to PDF
- Select a PPT or PPTX within the size limit.
- Convert — each slide becomes a PDF page.
- Download and confirm the slide order and legibility.
What to expect
- Animations and embedded media are dropped entirely.
- Speaker notes are not included in the default conversion.
- Fonts not available on the server are substituted.
Frequently asked questions
Will my animations appear in the PDF?
No — PDF is a static format, so each slide is rendered as a single still page. Content revealed by animations may appear merged or missing.
Does the PDF include speaker notes?
The standard conversion exports slide visuals only. Export a notes-pages PDF from the presentation app if notes must be shared.
Why does a slide look slightly different in the PDF?
Font substitution and rendering differences between office suites and the PDF engine cause small shifts, usually visible in custom typography.
