Before you convert
The studio removes CSS styles, image elements, HTML, animation, and external references; appearance may change. Gradients are not recolored, and PNG export depends on browser rendering.
Recolor a sanitized SVG and preview the actual export
The customization studio reads the selected file in your browser, sanitizes it, and uses the sanitized artwork for both its preview and exports. The selected SVG is not submitted to the server conversion endpoint by this tool.
The safety policy is intentionally restrictive: CSS styles, HTML content, image elements, animation, and external references are removed. That means a file can look different after loading. This is particularly important for exact-mode PNG/JPG-to-SVG wrappers, whose visible content is an embedded image and is removed by the studio.
Useful situations
- Recolor a simple path-based icon with explicit fill or stroke attributes.
- Add a solid background to supported artwork before exporting it.
- Create an SVG or PNG copy of the sanitized preview without using a server conversion request.
How to use Customize SVG
- Select a valid SVG without a DOCTYPE, up to 5 MB. Export dimensions must fit within 4096 pixels on each side.
- Compare the sanitized preview with your source. Stop if necessary artwork was removed.
- Enable Recolor to replace supported fill and stroke colors, or enable Background to add a solid color. Gradients are not recolored.
- Use Reset colors to remove your color changes, or Remove above the studio to clear the file. Download SVG or PNG when the preview is suitable.
What to expect
- Reset colors returns to the sanitized artwork, not the original unsanitized file. Keep the original separately.
- An SVG export remains vector-based only where the retained artwork contains vector elements. PNG export renders the preview into pixels.
- Browser rendering, fonts, and canvas support can affect PNG output. The tool reports failures rather than guaranteeing that every SVG can be exported.
Frequently asked questions
Why did an image or styled part disappear in the SVG studio?
The customization sanitizer removes image elements and CSS styles, including embedded raster artwork. Use a simple path-based SVG, or edit the source in an appropriate graphics application.
Does Reset colors restore content removed during sanitization?
No. Reset colors disables the recolor and background changes. It does not restore removed scripts, styles, images, or external references.
Does browser-side customization mean this entire website makes no network requests?
No. The selected SVG is processed locally by this studio, but loading website pages and scripts still involves network requests. Other converter tools upload files for server processing.
